Foray into Leather

I have been sewing for a long time — longer than the internet has even existed. I enjoy creating beautiful things from fabric, vinyl, leather, as well as other materials. After many years of sewing my own clothes, I moved on to sewing clothes and blankets for my children. As they got older and didn’t need as many home made clothes, I moved on to canvas bags. They were such a fun challenge — creating a useful three dimensional object from a flat fabric. I spent several years perfecting that skill and decided to make the jump to an even more durable material — leather.

I have always been fascinated by the natural look and feel of leather, how it wears and changes over time to meet how it is used most.
