OMD: Oh My Denim!
I purchased an industrial machine (the Juki DNU-1541S) and have had so much fun making things out of leather, denim, and canvas. It sews through them effortlessly and I am loving the broader range of materials I can sew now. I have had boxes of denim I have been saving for literally years — they’ve moved with us several times, and I can finally sew them into beautiful and durable quilts and bags. Foray into Leather
I have been sewing for a long time — longer than the internet has even existed. I enjoy creating beautiful things from fabric, vinyl, leather, as well as other materials. After many years of sewing my own clothes, I moved on to sewing clothes and blankets for my children. As they got older and didn’t need as many home made clothes, I moved on to canvas bags. They were such a fun challenge — creating a useful three dimensional object from a flat fabric.
